You’ll explore the relationship between form, scale, and the natural world while painting “Red Hills and Pedernal.” This class focuses on the power of simplicity, teaching you how to use clean lines and gradients of color to evoke the subtlety of desert landscape.
Santa Fe artists Laura Tarnoff and Mickey Bond will guide you step-by-step through the process of blending earthy ochres and deep reds to create soft, undulating hills. You’ll learn how to define the sharp, flat-topped silhouette of the Pedernal and use light to create a sense of infinite space and stillness on your canvas.
No experience needed. All materials are provided, along with mimosas and light snacks. You’re also welcome to bring your favorite beverage or treat.
Artful Soul Creative Experiences is located on the ground floor in the back of the Santa Fe Village Mall. 227 Don Gaspar Ave Santa Fe, NM 87501. There is no public parking at our location. Park on the street or the Water Street Parking lot.
