"Seminar: Intensive Technique for All Levels
Let’s connect through embrace, walk, and musicality—for both roles.
This immersive seminar invites dancers of all levels to refine the essential elements of Argentine tango with depth and intention. Together, we will explore the subtleties of the embrace, the clarity and elegance of the walk, and the expressive potential of musicality.
Through focused guidance, we will work intimately on the embrace and walking technique cultivating a deeper understanding of connection—within our own bodies and with our partners. Attention will be given to the use of the feet, legs, upper body, arms, and hands, allowing movement to emerge with greater ease and coherence.
Our aim is to foster a more present, authentic dance experience—one that enhances connection in the milonga without strain or force. By refining awareness and technique, participants will develop a grounded, fluid presence that supports both comfort and expressive freedom on the dance floor.
Magdalena María discovered Argentine tango in Austria at the age of 12 through her mother. At 18 she began taking classes in Vienna and soon spent years traveling to festivals, marathons, and encuentros as a passionate milonguera. Her love for tango brought her to Buenos Aires in 2019 and 2020, and after the pandemic she decided to move permanently to the capital of tango, where she is dancing, DJing and performing until today. She performed in Europe and Buenos Aires with various partners like Rodrigo Saucedo, Marcelo "El Chino" Gutierrez, Pablo Rodriguez and Max Vera.
In Vienna, Magdalena organized "Milonga Pastel" and has worked as a TDJ at many local milongas as well as international events such as the Bratislava Tango Party, Albufeira Tango Festival, and Vienna Calling Tango Marathon and in Milongas in Buenos Aires."
As a DJ, her goal is to create an atmosphere where dancers can enjoy themselves on and off the dance floor. Inspired by the unique “onda” of the Buenos Aires milongas, she brings her young, vibrant energy and carefully chosen tandas to every set.
Class: $30 ($20 for our friends south of the border)
Milonga: $25 ($15 for our friends south of the border)
Class and Milonga: $40 ($30 for our friends south of the border).
Milonga Recuerdo is traditionally held on the first and third Mondays of the month, honoring and remembering the germinal song by Osvaldo Pugliese, with arrangements by Julio de Caro, that opened up a line of exploration in tango.
