PLEASE REVIEW ALL INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING FOR A TICKET
We look forward to having you join us to plant 5,000 native trees and shrubs, to grow and enhance the natural habitat of the Milne Dam Conservation Park and the Rouge River watershed.
PARKING
Parking is available in the MAIN parking lot at Milne Dam Conservation Park, 8251 McCowan Road, Markham, ON. Please enter the park through the main entrance off McCowan Rd. Please follow all legal parking signage.
CHECK- IN at REGISTRATION
Upon arrival, please follow the signs and directions from volunteers to the Registration table and CHECK-IN with 10,000 Trees Staff. To ensure a smooth check-in please have your Eventbrite ticket QR code ready.
10,000 Trees will send out, via e-mail, further details and instructions to all registered Volunteers and Planting Coaches 2 or 3 days prior to the event.
HEALTH AND SAFETY GENERAL INFORMATION
- Volunteers are asked to bring their own FULL-SIZE SHOVEL, if they have one. There will be shovels and buckets available at the planting site, however, supply will be limited.
- All participants are advised that appropriate clothing for weather conditions should be worn. We recommend long pants, sturdy footwear, garden/planting gloves and bringing your own sunscreen, bug repellent and filled water bottle.
- All participants must maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times when on the planting site.
- In order to participate, all participants will be asked to agree 10,000 Trees' "Communicable Disease Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement". This will be done when registering for a ticket.
REGISTRATION FOR TICKETS IN EVENTBRITE
SELECT ONLY ONE TYPE OF TICKET - Each Adult MUST register for their own ticket in their own name. TICKET HOLDERS MUST BE 18+ YEARS OF AGE.
- EACH ADULT MUST register and MUST have a ticket in their OWN name.
- MINOR CHILDREN (under 18 years) MUST NOT be registered for a ticket, an adult can add children to their ticket (see below).
- FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN - If a family (or adult guardian) is bringing minor children, (under 18 years of age) only ONE ADULT in the family needs to add the minor(s) to their ticket during the registration process. The other ADULT (s) must sign up for an Adult Planter ticket in their own name.
**CORPORATE AND COMMUNITY GROUPS
- Corporate and Community Groups with more that 10 employee participants, are kindly requested to identify 1 individual (for every 10 participants) to train as a Planting Coach.
- Each Adult participating with a corporate group, must register for a ticket in their own name. There is NO group registration process.
PLANTING COACH REQUIREMENTS
• Must have previous Planting Coach training and experience with 10,000 trees.
If you are interested in volunteering as a NEW Planting Coach, PLEASE REGISTER to attend the training session held on Saturday May 2nd, 2026, AND remember to register as a Planting Coach for at least one of the planting sessions on Sunday May 3, 2026.
UNABLE TO ATTEND
If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, please CANCEL your registration in EVENTBRITE following the instructions provided in the e-mail confirming your registration and ticket.
