Brotherly Action 5K
A 30th Anniversary Tribute to the Million Man March
This fall, Philadelphia will come together in a historic show of unity, reflection, and forward motion with the Brotherly Action 5K (SBM 5K)—a powerful tribute to the 30th Anniversary of the Million Man March.
In the spirit of the original call to action that galvanized millions in 1995, the Brotherly Action 5K is more than a run or walk—it is a living movement. Participants will set out from neighborhoods across the city—North Philly, West Philly, and South Philly—converging in Center City as one collective stride toward justice, healing, and accountability.
The 5K marks a milestone in the Year of Brotherly Action campaign, a citywide initiative dedicated to transforming words into measurable outcomes for our communities. As a countdown to America’s 250th birthday in 2026, the campaign aligns Philadelphia’s call for brotherhood, equity, and civic responsibility with the nation’s founding ideals of liberty, justice, and unity.
