Four days in one of New Zealand's most iconic places, celebrating women in all our forms. If you’re a woman who’s ready for an adventure, this is for you.
Hannah and Peta are two women passionate about the outdoors who are pulling together a small group of like-minded women to walk the Milford Track this May. No frills, no unnecessary extras - just good company, wild places, and the kind of experience that slows your mind and reminds you what matters.
Always wanted to do the Milford Track sorting the logistics was just too much? Haven't had the right people to go with? That's exactly why we're making this happen.
HOW IT WORKS
This is a community trip, not a commercial one. You bring your food, your gear, and yourself. We organise the logistics. There's no Wild Heart fee or markup - you simply pay the costs directly to the operators:
• Water taxi with Fiordland Outdoors (Te Anau Downs to Glade Wharf, and Sandfly Point to Milford Sound) $170
• Bus return to Te Anau Downs $72
• DOC serviced hut tickets (3 nights) $90 (Backcountry passes can be used instead)
Total Cost: $332
Instructions for booking these directly provided upon registration.
Getting there: Make your own way to Te Anau Downs - carpooling is strongly encouraged and we'll help connect you with others in the group.
You bring: your food, your gear, and yourself. Recommended gear list provided upon registration. Need to hire any kit? We can point you in the right direction.
We bring: logistics sorted, group leaders to help the trip go smoothly, and the genuine pleasure of adventuring with an epic group of women.
This trip is for you if:
✔ You're reasonably fit and comfortable with multi-day hiking
✔ You have most of your own gear (or can borrow or hire what you need)
✔ You want adventure without having to organise every detail yourself
Not sure if the Milford Track is right for your experience level? Get in touch and we can chat it through.
A few important things to know:
• Minimum group numbers apply (water taxi requires 6 adults minimum)
• Off-season hiking means weather-dependent departures - flexibility is essential
• A personal locator beacon is required within the group (Hannah & Peta will carry one each, you’re welcome to bring yours too)
If this sounds like your kind of adventure, get in touch to save your spot.
