About this Event

Miles for Mutts is a walk like no other. Sure, there are other dog-friendly events and beautiful locations. But nowhere will you find the combination of a fun afternoon with your pup and a one-of-a-kind route winding through gorgeous winery grounds and vineyard vistas.
Rooted in the heart of the Applegate River Valley in Southern Oregon, Wooldridge Creek Winery sits on a rolling hillside overlooking the valley — and Miles for Mutts takes full advantage of every bit of it. You will be blown away by the views and delighted by the fun afternoon atmosphere! The walk features an easy, leisurely route across paths and grass as you weave your way through one of the most beautiful winery settings.
If you love your dog, amazing scenery, and creating a memory that will last forever with your four-legged friend, this is for you! While you can walk your dog any day of the week, this is your chance to share the experience with a whole community of fellow dog lovers in a truly special setting. Best of all, every step you take helps save a life — Miles for Mutts is a fundraiser dedicated to giving homeless dogs a second chance.
So lace up, leash up, and make a difference!
Each ticket includes participation in the walk, a glass of delicious wine or a non-alcoholic beverage, personal charcuterie, and an event t-shirt. Please note: Registrations after May 14 will not guarantee a t-shirt at the event.
Additional wine and food will be available for purchase.
Why We Walk
We gather in honor of our dear friends, Jed and Celia Meese; devoted supporters, trusted voices, and cherished members of the SoHumane family since 2004. Jed and his wife, Celia, were steadfast champions of our lifesaving mission for more than two decades. Through heartfelt conversations and unwavering generosity, they helped shape the spirit of compassion that defines our organization today.

This walk is a celebration of that spirit.

Together, we’ll step forward in the same way Jed and Celia always encouraged us to — with kindness, dedication, and belief in the work we do for animals and the people who love them. Every leash in hand and every paw on the path represents the lasting impact of a life devoted to making the world better for homeless pets. We invite you to walk with us in community, in gratitude, and in continued commitment to the mission Jed and Celia cared so deeply about. Their legacy lives on in every adoption, every second chance, and every life saved.
