Miles Against Cancer (MAC) presents the Lusaka–Mazabuka Prostate Cancer Awareness Ultra Marathon, taking place on 1st May 2026 in Zambia.Just four months after successfully daring and defeating the 145km Lusaka–Kabwe Cervical Cancer Awareness Ultra Marathon, MAC returns with renewed purpose to spotlight prostate cancer awareness, early screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment.
At exactly 02:00 AM, 15 carefully selected endurance runners will set off from Levy Mall / Stanbic Bank in Lusaka, embarking on this iconic 17 hour journey and finishing in Mazabuka Town at the Mazabuka Intercity Bus Stop.
Following the run, the athletes will spend two nights in Mazabuka engaging directly with the community through prostate cancer awareness and sensitisation activities, reinforcing the importance of early medical consultation and breaking stigma around men’s health.
This event is both:
• A physical ultra marathon for the selected runners
• A virtual run open to global Miles Against Cancer members and supporters worldwide.
This is not a race for speed, but a mission-driven endurance advocacy initiative—using sport as a voice for life, hope, and prevention.
