Michael Simon is excited to join his Saskatchewan connections to his Nova Scotia life through music! Mike’s musical influences were strong from an early age. His biggest influences are John Lennon, Dylan, Lightfoot, Neil Young, Gillian Welch, Kashtin and Woody Guthrie.
His own songs are in this folk tradition: raising awareness about current political, environmental and social issues, advocacy for human rights & reverence for the environment while holding space for intimate human stories, insights and love .
We are excited Mike can fit the D’Lish fam in with his Doylefest date in Saskatchewan!
Mike will be joined by Robert Leek on hand percussion and Riel Castro Zunti on fiddle!
