The Bond Brothers folks have created a truly stellar sounding listening room with a great vibe at their Eastside location that's tailor made for both live music connoisseurs and musicians. Mike Krause & The Third Expression explore musical territory ranging from classic Americana, Rock, Noir Jazz and Cinematic soundscapes to a diverse array of wider influences. ‘Instrumental Americana’, the 2024 album of Mike Krause penned and produced original compositions, features Dan Davis (drums), E. Scott Warren (bass) and special guest John Neff (Mike Mill’s ‘R.E.M. Explored’, The Bad Ends (w/R.E.M.’s Bill Berry), Booker T. Jones (on the Grammy winning album ‘Potato Hole’ also featuring Neil Young), Bloodkin, Drive-By Truckers, Japancakes) on pedal steel. The album is available for download on Bandcamp:

A native of Philadelphia, Mike Krause has performed as a sideman in a wide array of contexts including multiple appearances at SXSW in Austin, TX, the International Country Music Festival in Zurich, Switzerland and the Stone Free Music Festival in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. He has also recorded as a session guitarist on over twenty albums for artists including Grammy nominee Tift Merritt, Caitlin Cary, Thad Cockrell and Tres Chicas among others and appears in the book North Carolina Musicians: Photographs and Conversations by Daniel Coston. As a composer, arranger & bandleader, his group Mike Krause & The Third Expression has been featured on North Carolina Public Radio’s “The State of Things” and released their debut album 'Instrumental Americana' in 2024.
