Mike Krause & The Third Expression, featuring Mike Krause (NC based sideman, educator and guitarist on albums for artists including Grammy nominee Tift Merritt, Caitlin Cary, Thad Cockrell and Tres Chicas), Dan Davis of the Dan Davis Group (INDY’s Best of the Triangle 2025) on drums and E. Scott Warren (Shirlette Ammons, Mike Babyak’s Triple Fret, Scott Sawyer, Adrian Duke, The Blusterfields) on bass, are returning to one of our favorite music venues in the Triangle, Bond Brothers Eastside! The Bond Brothers folks have created a truly stellar sounding listening room with a great vibe at their Eastside location that's tailor made for both live music connoisseurs and musicians. This is also our fourth post-Thanksgiving Day show in five years at this stellar venue! It's always a really fun evening and if you’re in town for the holiday weekend and looking for an escape from things familial (or need a break after being cooped up) definitely make us a stop! We’ll be performing two sets featuring tracks from our record 'Instrumental Americana', more new original music and as always a well curated group of classic deep cuts. Mike Krause & The Third Expression have been featured on North Carolina Public Radio’s “The State of Things” and perform original music ranging from classic Americana, Rock, Noir Jazz and Cinematic soundscapes to a diverse array of wider influences. ‘Instrumental Americana’, the 2024 album of Mike Krause penned and produced original compositions, features Dan Davis (drums), E. Scott Warren (bass) and special guest John Neff (Mike Mill’s ‘R.E.M. Explored’, The Bad Ends (w/R.E.M.’s Bill Berry), Booker T Jones (on the Grammy winning album ‘Potato Hole’ also featuring Neil Young), Bloodkin, Drive-By Truckers, Japancakes) on pedal steel.
