About this Event
New Orleans is a unique place replete with world class musicians who don't have to constantly tour in order to make a living. When these talented folk get anywhere close to Western PA I am going to invite them to perform for yinz.
Case in point: I first met the Grammy-nominated New Orleans recording artist, along with his family, via our friends in Johnny Sketch & The Dirty Notes. Mike performs with just about everyone in New Orleans, including individual members of the Sketch crew. I have also been fortunate to have experienced Mike's hospitality and cooking over the years at several Sunday morning brunches during French Quarter Fest. It is time for me, with the support of you all, to return the favors.
Mike, alongside his drummer son August and wife Maggie, are hitting the road this summer for the Doussans Be Trippin’ 2026 Summer Tour, bringing their acoustic duo to listening rooms and living rooms across the country. Built around the spirit of connection and storytelling, this run focuses on intimate house concerts with stripped-down, up-close performances that highlight the musical bond between father and son.
Traveling together and living out of their beloved pop-up camper, Peggy-O, the Doussans are embracing the road as both a stage and a way of life. Rooted in family, music, and the culture of the American road trip, these performances offer an honest and personal evening of songs, stories, and connection.
It has been a while since we did a meal event, so let's make this one a potluck. Whip up a batch of your favorite Louisiana-themed dish and bring it along to share. The potluck is optional and will kick off at 6 PM. Parking for potluckers will begin at 5:30.
Parking for everyone else will begin at 7, with music starting @ 7:30. BYOB-C-B (beverages, chairs, blankets). We do not provide any alcohol beverages. Weather permitting the music will be outside on the Hay Wagon Stage.
Attentive and supervised kids under 18 are welcome to attend free along with their registered adults.
100% of the proceeds goes to the performers. Please bring extra $$ for merch and tips.
