NOTE: We have had several people comment on our posts claiming they are "re-selling" tickets. These are scammers. Do not buy tickets from anyone you do not know. ONLY use our Eventbrite link. If in doubt, send us a message. Thank you!On September 29th from 1-4pm, Migrant Support Collective invites you to join us for a day of community, food, and art at Uptown’s beautiful Haymarket House, hosted by Women and Children First Bookstore. During this event, we plan to spread the word about the new programs and services that we will be providing to detained migrants in the United States, all of which center on affirming the human right to autonomy, community, and creative expression.
Watch a performance by Las Adelitas del Folklor; enjoy food generously donated by Smack Dab; enter a raffle for beautiful prints from Jose Rosa and Marimacha Monarca Press; purchase prints from artists experiencing incarceration; hear from immigration activists Alderwoman Rossana Rodriguez and Attorney Lee VanderLinden; write notes of support and make drawings that we will send to detained migrants; and make your own liberation-themed stickers!
