Neonatal Resuscitation is the most important skill for any professional birth attendant. As midwives, we are taught to "sit on our hands." However, there's a time for allowing birth to unfold and another for stepping in with critical, safety-first emergency interventions. The Midwives Untethered class teaches you when to intervene and how to do so effectively in a community setting through realistic, hands-on scenarios. Upon completion, you should feel confident to know when to step in and how to complete all of the steps of NRP.RELEVANT
Community birth focus
Resuscitation-in-place, T-piece, LMA, I/O, and medication administration
EMS collaboration and transfer scenarios are included.
RELATABLE
Trauma-based/debriefing; individual practice needs and scenarios assessed and developed
Equipment, drills, and setups unique to community birth settings drive the course.
Course cost: $300. An additional fee of $75 will be required for the online portion if an e-card is desired.
NRP supplies and a simple lunch will be provided.
