Come join us for a fun and cozy evening of music, yummy treats, hot drinks, goodwill, and warm fellowship! The Ridge Ramblers and the Stone Spring Stringband will be playing at Immanuel Mennonite Church on Thursday, February 12th to raise funds for Mercy House and the critical work that they do in our community. Doors open at 6:30 and the music goes from 7-9. Free will donations & all are welcome. We’d love for you to be a part of this community event, regardless of how much you can contribute.Hailing from the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, The Ridge Ramblers are an Old-Time string band while also blending traditional country and bluegrass with rich harmonies and a deep love for Appalachian roots music. Offering up a mix of driving dance tunes and heartfelt songs, multi-instrumentalists Perry Blosser, Ben Miller, and Lizzie Cahalin, work together to create a sound that’s both dynamic and deeply rooted.
Stone Spring Stringband is a new local group that enjoys playing Old Time fiddle tunes together. This trio is Kaley Kyger, Aidan Daly, and John Yoder Gullman.
If you’d like to learn more about Mercy House and their great work in our community, you can read about it on their website. https://www.themercyhouse.org/
We received two generous donations that are funding the entire cost of this event so all the money raised on the night of the event can go to Mercy House. One of them is anonymous and the other donor is “Friends of Cub Run,” an informal group that is working to keep Cub Run clean. A big thank you to both of these donors! And last but not least, thank you to the volunteers and the musicians helping with this event. We literally couldn't do this without them. ❤️
