Welcome to Midwest Slime Fest and Slime Rodeo Kansas City!
Buy and trade slime. Watch live demos and Q&As. Join a class or a workshop. Slime contest, music, create-your-own-slime and even some local vendors!
The convention will be held at the Shawnee Civic Centre in Shawnee KS. The host hotel is the Hampton Inn in Shawnee. The Hampton offers free breakfast, and an indoor pool. Our group rate is $104 per night. Join us Friday evening from 6pm-10pm in the banquet room for a FREE pizza party, for all hotel guests, compliments of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce!! This is a great opportunity to meet other slimers, trade slime, and welcoming of the Slimelebrities. Registration opens at 8am on Saturday, July 9th. The convention is from 9am - 5pm. Snacks and lunch concessions will be available for purchase. Concessions are brought to you by the varsity cheer squad from Maranatha Christian Academy in Shawnee, KS.
Bring-Your-Own-Slime contest will have six categories. Thick & Glossy, Butter, Cloud, Clear, Floam, and Other. All entries are $2 per entry. Homemade slime only. No store bought slime and not someone else's slime. Please DO NOT include your name or slime account name on your slime container, or you will automatically be disqualified. You can include a label or anything else you'd like the judges to know about your slime. Prizes will be awarded to the top three slimes in each category. Winners will be announced during the 1:00 hour. Must be present to win.
Raffle tickets will be for sale at the convention. 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. Drawing will be during the 1:00 hour. Must be present to win. Raffle prizes include:
- Slime! (Lots of slime!) One from every VIP and seller at the convention
- KitchenAid Stand Mixer
Children ages 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children 2 and under are free and do not require a ticket.
