Even without Maggie Smith's late, lamented Dowager Countess, there's still plenty fun to be had in this enduringly daft but completely watchable series. Downton diehards will find things reassuringly unchanged and the characters remain delightful company: Lord Grantham rails against ghastly progressive views, whilst below stairs, a nervy Mrs Patmore is preparing for a wedding.
