About this Event
On this nature walk, we'll meet at Meadowhall Interchange (or meet me to take the tram together), walk up a Roman Road and explore ancient woodland, finding a World War Two machine gun placement and an Iron Age hill fort, while looking over the Don Valley at the industrial landscape below.
Bring a picnic and we'll find some secluded corners of nature to sit and write and think about the history of this place.
Please note that the route will include steep sections.
Your workshop leader is Anne Grange, a local novelist, poet and editor who has lived in Sheffield since 1995, with a deep love of nature and the environment.
