— SIARZHUK DOUHUSHAU — Belarusian folk musician, singer, and tradition bearer based in Warsaw, Poland, renowned for bringing Belarusian songs, customs, and cultural heritage to life.
— NADZEYA NORTON — Cultural manager and community leader dedicated to promoting Belarusian traditional and contemporary culture in the United States.
— THE KUPALLE VOLUNTEER TEAM — A passionate group of volunteers helping create a memorable and magical Kupalle celebration for our community.
🌀 A magical evening awaits — full of songs, dances, ancient rituals, and the enchantment of Kupala night, connecting us with our ancestors and the natural world.
Kupalle Night Program:
🔥🌿 Presentation of the newly published Kupalle Songbook from Warsaw — a collection of traditional Belarusian Kupalle songs with original Belarusian lyrics and English transliteration.
🌿 Making flower wreaths and singing Kupala songs
🔥 Preparing and lighting a ceremonial bonfire and symbolic pillar with a wheel (representing the sun)
🌿 Preparing and enjoying traditional Belarusian drink "krupnik" sweet herb alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink)
🔥Wearing national costumes and embroidered clothing
🌿Round dances, games, songs, and jumping over the fire
🌊 Girls floating their wreaths on water
🎸🔥 Fireside conversations and guitar songs
Dress Code:
National costumes, embroidery, or light-colored clothing.
Women and girls are encouraged to wear dresses or skirts.

• Warm clothes and blankets
• Beach chairs
• Camping tables if possible
• Food, drinks, and snacks to share (potluck style)
⚠️ Safety Note:
This is an outdoor community gathering on a natural beach site involving open fire, uneven terrain, ocean proximity, and physical activities. By attending, participants acknowledge and accept responsibility for their own safety and personal belongings, and participate at their own risk.
Parents/guardians are fully responsible for supervising children at all times.
This event is organized by Free Belarus SF, a volunteer-led Belarusian community group in the San Francisco Bay Area.

🌿 Выраб купальскіх вянкоў, сьпевы купальскіх песен (дзяўчаты);
🔥 Падрыхтоўка абрадавага вогнішча й апорнага слупа з колам на версе (хлопцы);
🌿Падрыхтоўка традыцыйнага напоя ”крупніка” зь зёлак і мёду з алькаголем і без
🔥Карагод вакол вогнішча, сьпевы
🌿Скокі праз вогнішча;
🔥Гульні, сьпевы, танцы;
🌿 Дзяўчаты пускаюць вянкі па вадзе;
🔥Гутаркі вакол вогнішча, песьні пад гітару.
Дрэс-код: апранайце нацыянальныя строі, вышыванкі, сьветлае тэматычнае адзеньне для сьвята, для жаншчын і дзяўчат пажадана сукенкі й спадніцы.
