Midsummer's eve is the night that the sun reaches the height of its strength, Summer Solstice eve - the night of magic, mischief and one of the three spirit nights of the year according to Celtic lore.This was a night when the veil between the worlds was thought to be thin and faery beings were likely to be encountered.
Join me for a magical evening in the Rose Cottage Wellness herb garden.
I will share with you the traditions of this day, including some special herbs used at this time. I will tell you a Celtic story followed by some Mugwort tea, known for its psychic and visionary properties.
Then I will guide you into a vision journey into the lower world to meet the Faery people who live under the ground according to Celtic lore. They have much to teach us about how to connect more deeply to this planet and bring back the magic in our lives.
We will finish with a faery tea party and celebration.

Hannah McQuilkan has a 15 year background in natural health, healing and wellness. She is a qualified Naturopath, Medical Herbalist and Forest Therapy Guide. As a practicing Druidess she seeks ways to connect more deeply with the natural world and her ancestors and is passionate about discovering her Celtic roots and sharing the magic and ritual of this culture with others.
