🌞 Midsummer Solstice Celebration with Pixie Circle 🌿Friday 19th June | 12 noon
Selhurst Woods
Join us beneath the green canopy of Selhurst Woods as we gather to honour the height of summer—the radiant turning point of the year.
Midsummer, or the Summer Solstice, marks the longest day and the fullest expression of the sun’s power. It is a time of abundance, passion, creativity, and deep gratitude. In this moment, we celebrate the sacred union of the Goddess and the God, and step into a world where the veil grows thin and the fae folk are said to stir among the leaves and light.
Surrounded by the warmth of the season, we will share ritual words, songs, and poetry to honour the sun at its zenith. All are welcome to join in—we will provide words so everyone can take part, and you are warmly invited to bring a poem or song to share.
This gathering, we will journey into the tales of Loki of the Norse tradition—a shapeshifter, fire-bringer, and agent of change. Like the midsummer sun at its peak, Loki reminds us that energy at its height can both create and transform. Through his stories, we will explore the wild, unpredictable spark of life that fuels growth, passion, and the turning of the wheel. At this brightest point of the year, we honour not only light and joy, but also the forces that stir movement, mischief, and transformation within us.
After our celebration, you are very welcome to stay for our sharing picnic.
You may wish to bring:
A hat, cloak, or robe
Rattles, drums, bells, or instruments
A chair or blanket
Food and drink to share or enjoy
A poem or song
A smile and an open heart
Selhurst Woods is Forestry Commission land near Goodwood, West Sussex. We will gather not far from the car park (please note there is a 2m height barrier).
