**WARHAMMER 40,000 11th EDITION IS HERE!**And what better way to celebrate that than having an old-fashioned Launch Party!
Join us as we play one MASSIVE game of Warhammer 40,000, and show people the new rules set in action--all done on the Friday night before Armageddon's Saturday release date!
We'll start the giant game shortly after everyone shows up at 7:30 and will play ALL THE WAY TO MIDNIGHT!
At midnight (which will be technically Saturday) player will be able to pick up their copy of the Armageddon game box!

POINTS LIMIT: 750pt Armies (specifics below)
TIME: 7:30pm - 12:30am
ENTRY FEE: $12
FORMAT: Megabattle
PLAYER LIMIT: 20 Players
SNACKS AND REFRESHMENTS: will be provided by Imaginary Wars and served part-way through the evening
**WARHAMMER 40k 11th EDITION IN EFFECT!**
We will be showcasing the 11th Edition CORE RULES on this evening which means:
- Command Points: can only be spent on the TEN CORE STRATAGEMS found on page 54 of the 11th Ed Core Rules
- Army-Specific Stratagems: the stratagems from your codex *cannot* be used for this battle: we're going to have 16+ people all playing & learning at the same time, with aims of being finished by midnight--let's keep the game flowing!
- Secondary Objectives will NOT be used
**ARMY BUILDING RULES:**
- use your 10th Ed codex detachment rules (not the new 11th Ed multiple detachments in one army structure)
- armies cannot have more than 2 of any one datasheet / / squad / character / vehicle (etc)
**ARMY LIMITS AND COMPOSITION RULES**
Players' 750 point armies are constructed to be split into 2 Arrival Waves:
- Initial Deployment
- Battle Round 1 Reinforcements
The Initial Deployment and the Round 2 and Round 3 Reinforcement waves MUST be divided into one of the following:
**400pts / 350pts**
or
**450pts / 300pts**
And players must nominate in advance Battle Round each wave's force will show up in (ie: 450ts Round 1 & 300pts Round 2)
NO WAVE IS ALLOWED TO GO OVER THEIR STATED POINTS LIMIT
(This does mean that, quite likely, most players will be fielding an army below 750 points)
Also, all participants must ensure that their army adheres to the Megabattle's army guidelines:
• Your army must include at least one character who is designated as your Warlord.
• No epic heroes.
• Your army must include one unit that is infantry and not characters.
• NO UNITS CAN BE OVER TOUGHNESS 10
• Enhancements are allowed.
• All other standard List building rules for a Warhammer 40,000 Matched-Play Game apply.
Player Reinforcements will arrive on Battle Round 2 and are placed on their table edge at the end of that side's Command Phase.
Deep Striking *is* allowed but follow the Megabattle Mishap rules (based on the Nachmund Gauntlet Crusade rules and will be provided on the game day)
**PROXIES & 3D PRINTED MODELS**
- Models must be Games Workshop models
- Straight-up proxies (as in: "these Firstborn Space Marines are going to be my Votann" etc) is NOT allowed.
- 3D Printed models are not allowed.
- More inspired and THEMATIC proxies *can* be allowed, so long they are NOT 3D printed models. These will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and the player must contact Imaginary Wars prior to the event.
*WYSIWYG MODELS*
What You See Is What You Get means all models have their primary weapon appropriately modelled on the miniature.
**CONVERSIONS & 3D-PRINTED BITZ**
Conversions are welcome, but the core of the model must still be a GW model and the model should still be representative of the rules being used for that model.
3D-printed accessories are acceptable for conversions if the rest of the model follows the ethos that they are being added to a GW model (more than two-thirds of the model is a proper GW miniature).
