🥾 12 miles 🥾 Moderate 🥾 Leader: Tanya 🥾We will start in the lovely little village of Kettlesing and head along the road towards Hampsthwaithe, then as we leave we will walk along the River Nidd towards Birstwith, we will leave the riverbank for a while heading upwards to some lovely scenery from higher up, as long as the cows let us in their field! 🐮
We will then drop back down to join the river again towards Darley, then from here we will head back up the way along the road before dropping back down into Kettlesing. There is a bit of road walking, but we will see lots of lovely views and livestock, you might even be lucky to see some baby alpacas 🦙
🅿️ Free parking in the overflow car park for Kettlesing village hall on Crag Lane, HG3 2JY – we may need to block each other in as it's a small car park!
🐶 Sorry, no dogs due to livestock
🥪 You will need to bring a packed lunch
🍺 Come with us to the pub after the walk for a drink – or if you would like to stay for food, please contact Tanya to book a place (a £10 deposit is required), see separate social event for full details, https://www.facebook.com/events/1300667641493366
Midlife Hikers is a Ramblers group for people in their 40s and 50s, and our walks are led by volunteers. Non-members are welcome to try us out for free for up to 3 walks but then we ask you to join the Ramblers
