This isn’t your typical book club. Here, the kids call the shots. Each month, members will be given a list of books and everyone votes to decide what they will be reading together.Led by students, for students. We will switch up the genres every month so whether you’re into epic fantasies, thrillers, contemporary romance, or graphic novels, this club will have something for everyone.
The next meeting will be December 6th at 11am. The kids will be chatting about The Last Dragon on Mars by Scott Reintgen.
Purchasing a book club book at the bookstore gets you 10% off the title when you mention the book club.
Each meeting will last 45 minutes.
While both middle school and high school students may love reading the same kinds of books, these are two different age groups with very different experiences.
To make sure everyone feels comfortable and discussions stay age-appropriate: even if a middle school student is reading at a higher level, they will remain with their grade-level group.
This keeps discussions relevant, respectful, and fun for everyone without younger students feeling out of place or older students feeling held back. Our goal is to create safe, inclusive spaces where all students can enjoy reading and conversation with peers their own age.
A permission slip will be available each month and will need to be signed in order to participate.
