Join us for free bike tune ups by Casa Bikes from 12-2pm alongside music from Boston-based Guatemalan singer-songwriter Mercedes Escobar from 12:15-1pm. Music curated by Passim.
Free safety checks with a bicycle technician will take place on a first come, first served basis, regardless of advance registration. This is a popular event - we recommend arriving early to get a spot in line!
This event is presented in collaboration with the MIT Office of Sustainability, MIT Office of Campus Planning, MIT Police, and MIT Parking and Transportation.

What's Included
Mechanics will provide full safety check-ups focusing on the drivetrain, braking system, air pressure, and the mechanical safety of all bearing related components.
Anyone with a specific need (i.e. changing a new tire and/or tube, wrapping bar tape, swapping pedals, etc.) can use their availability for these tasks. The remaining time, if any, will be used for adjustments of the rest of the bike. Anything that cannot be serviced will be addressed with the customer and the mechanics will provide the best course of action to have the issue resolved safely.
Photos and/or videos will be taken at this event. By entering and attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that your likeness may be included in photos and videos of the event and that those photos and videos may be used by MIT in connection with communications about MIT Open Space Programming or in other MIT communications, and/or shared with third parties, including on the Internet. If you do not agree to this usage, please notify a staff member when you arrive.
