RULES
Senior competitors MUST be a registered (either club or competitive) financial club member with the GameDay Registration System, and if Senior Canterbury Track & Field
registered (competitive) wear their senior registration number.
To be eligible for Sub Centre Cups, senior Athletes 15 years and over must be competitively registered, and wearing their Athletics Canterbury Number. The Athlete must compete in three or more events in their age group to be eligible for an age group cup.
New Zealand Masters registered athletes are not eligible for the Senior Sub-Centre cups.
Junior competitors MUST be a registered (either club or competitive) financial club member with the GameDay Registration System, and either wearing their Age Patch (for club registered only) or their Canterbury Children’s Registration Number (competitive). These are in conjunction with the Mid-South Canterbury Sub-Centre set of Rules. Competitors MUST wear their Club Uniform in order to compete. POST ENTRIES Competitors report to Official at event just prior to start time.
Any Competitors not at an event when name is called miss their turn in that round.
SUCKLING CHALLENGE CUP – 800m race for Men (senior registered 15yrs upwards) must have at least 5 athletes start and finish the race competitively
FIELD EVENT COMPETITORS
7 to 14 years – one trial throw, then three ( 3 ) marked throws. U18 to Masters – one trial throw, then six ( 6 ) measured throws.
LONG & TRIPLE JUMP COMPETITORS
7 to 14 years – one trial jump, then three ( 3 ) measured jumps. U18 to Masters – one trial Jump, then six ( 6 ) measured jumps.
In Field & Jump Events, competitors take no more than 1 minute to start a throw or Jump after being called by an Official.
Competitors in grades 7 to Masters MUST stay in the same grade throughout the day.
High Jump bar heights will begin at Competition heights and to be raised to 5cm intervals, until three Competitors remain, then raised according to the Competitors request. Competition starting heights listed below.
Certificates for athletes will be issued by Sub-Centre at the end of the Season Club Break-ups.
CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT - Club Secretaries will be contacted and information will be posted on the Sub Centre’s facebook page.
