Mid-Nebraska Running Festival: As fun to watch as to race!We brought back the Eliminator last year to a new facility. The event exceeded all our expectations with three fields of runners, fireworks shooting off during our event, and hundreds of fans cheering on the runners. We are excited in 2026 to come back with increased fan engagement and sponsorship from the Sporting Edge and HOKA!
As a reminder, it is a unique and fun track competition where 12-21 athletes start a race. The runners run one lap at a time. After each lap the last runner to finish is eliminated. After a short rest, the athletes go another lap and eliminate a second runner, and so on until there is only one runner left standing.
It is a fun challenge for all runners--we break down heats based on age/ability, with fun prizes on every lap. And it is just as fun for the spectators! Every lap is a race.
We are doing even more this year as the Mid-Nebraska Running Festival to entertain fans and celebrate running!

* Test yourself: Run a timed 40 yard dash (prizes for the fastest by age group)!
* A clinic for mid-distance runners led by 3x American 800m national champion Erik Sowinski
* Food trucks and sno cones
