Join us to learn about the mid-century architects whose designs have likely not escaped your notice in Acadiana. Jeffery McCullough discusses the architecture of Harold "Lefty" LaGroue, Hal Perkins, Dave Perkins, Robert Stephan, and A. Hays Town. A designer, educator, and historian, Jeffrey's expertise and life experiences have taken him far from Acadiana, but he divides his time between New York and Lafayette. An Assistant Professor of Interior Design in the CIDA-Accredited Kean University BFA Interior Design program. A graduate of the History of Design M.A. program at Parsons School of Design / The New School, McCullough’s teaching and research is centered on design history. As a frequent presenter on panels and at conferences, primary research topics of “Design Democracy” and “Expanding the Canon of American Interior Design History” are constantly engaged with and expanded upon. Active learning modules for design history education form the foundation for McCullough’s pedagogical approach, as does his residential Interior Design career of twenty-five years.
