Brian Abraham, CTO at i3 Business Solutions

Brian started his career performing assessments and system upgrades for the great Y2K non-event. He spent the next decade as system engineer and consultant working with K-12 schools and universities across Michigan, performing needs assessments and network architecture design and installation. Brian joined i3 as a senior systems consultant in 2011 and currently serves as the CTO. He leans on his years of network engineering experience and expertise to guide the security programs for i3 that support hundreds of clients and thousands of endpoints. Brian’s focus for the last five years has been evolving i3’s cybersecurity practice to meet the threats that SMB’s face today.

Mike Ritsema, President and Principal at i3 Business Solutions

Mike Ritsema started in the technology industry in 1990 as an IBM Business Partner and IBM employee in the midrange server and Enterprise Resource Planning space. Along with investors, he acquired 21st Century Computer Specialists, Inc. in 2001 and merged with Silver Lake Resources in 2004 to create i3 Business Solutions. In 2018 he bought out his partner, Kathy Labozzetta, and in 2020 acquired Computer Alliance, Inc., an IBM Power midrange server and services firm. In 2024 i3 acquired CompuCraft Technology Solutions, a West Michigan MSP specializing in Apple Mac support. Today i3 Business Solutions delivers business roadmaps and technology support to over 125 companies, 4,500 users, and 400 servers in the State of Michigan. Ritsema carries multiple Cybersecurity certifications, is an FBI vetted member of the national InfraGard critical infrastructure team. He helps local companies both accelerate business results and mitigate technology risk. Ritsema is passionate about technology and its application personally and for business. He’s dedicated to helping organizations accelerate their productivity and profitability through the implementation of technology solutions.

He’s privileged to have served as both the Tri-unity Christian School and Unto, Inc. Board President where some of his most gratifying work has occurred. Ritsema is currently on the Board of the Grand Rapids Boys & Girls Club. He’s a runner, biker, golfer, “slow-motion” basketball player, reader, learner, and traveler. Essentially, he remains driven by anything that offers a new challenge.
