About this Event
For close to 2 decades i have been hosting dinners featuring the incredible heirloom peaches from my friends farm, the Masumoto Family Farm. This family has been growing the most incredible peaches in the California central valley on the same land for 4 generations, since 1947! The patriarch of the family, David Mas Masumoto has become very popular with his talks and his many books, now totalling over a dozen. A pioneer in the organic agriculture movement in the state via his farm that a tremendous community has developed around. The farm is now run by his daughter, Nikiko!
And for 20 years i have hosted world renowned musicians in this small space in West Oakland. My old friend Michael Manring has performed here on almost every year of the series and returns for another one of his special solo performances.
