ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Claudia Campos is a second-year MFA candidate in Theater Management at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. Prior to Yale, she served as the Producer and Communications Manager of The Peace Studio. As Producer, she launched two core programs: Artist as Catalyst and The Peace Studio Fellowship. Previously, Claudia served as Company and Media Manager at Miami New Drama, starting as an intern in 2018. As Company Manager, she oversaw the largest professional theater production in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic, 7 Deadly Sins, which also won the prestigious Drama League Award for Outstanding Interactive or Socially Distanced Theater. Other credits with Miami New Drama include: A Wonderful World, When Monica Met Hillary, The Cuban Vote, Puras Cosas Maravillosas (Every Brilliant Thing), and Gente Ociosa (Spanish adaptation of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya). After graduating Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, she also worked abroad as a producer for Theatre Academy London at the FSU London campus. A proud Cuban that now calls Miami home, Claudia is most interested in the development of new works of theater by first generation immigrants and the creation of organizations and structures that are in service to the needs of the community.
