ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Miriam Sierra (Properties & Scenic Designer), started her career in theatrical production 12 years ago. After which, she enrolled in Miami Light Project’s Inaugural Technical Fellowship Program. Excelling in properties/set design, she was referred to other theaters where she developed and refined her scenic carpentry and painting skills. At New World Symphony, she worked to hone her leadership/stagehand skills; working alongside IATSE Local 500 Union. In 2017, she started her own props/set design business, Divine Artistic Creations, LLC, and became a Union Member. She has since then reached unimaginable achievements; becoming the first woman Head Carpenter at Carnival Studio Theater in the Adrienne Arsht Center for The Performing Arts. Miss Sierra is currently the first Woman House Assistant Master Carpenter at Au-Rene Theater in the Broward Center For The Performing Arts. Propelling her career, cause for equality, neurodiversity, and women empowerment in the workforce. Miss Sierra is honored and elated to be reunited with Miami Light Project and the Technical Fellowship Program where it all started.
