Orange County legends M.I.A. came up in the same scene as TSOL, ADOLESCENTS, BLACK FLAG, and DEAD KENNEDYS. Their first album came out on Alternative Tentacles in 1984, and was reissued by A.T. last year for its 40th anniversary, followed by their very first European tour! French label Modern City Records is now working on reissuing their last out of print record from their discography, due out this winter. The band will also record two new songs in the coming months. Paris-based dark punk band BLEAKNESS have had a very busy year. They played their first US tour, during which they recorded their third album, set for release in February 2026. After two albums and several EPs on Bremen’s Sabotage Records, they’ve just signed with Vicious Circle Records for the European release of their next album. The first single dropped this week to coincide with their shows with Refused, who invited them to open their two final French dates.
