“Un libro que sin duda hay que conservar en todos los hogares venezolanos!” —Featured on the official Venezuela de Ayer page
“Explora el ADN de los venezolanos… una mirada colorida que rescata raíces y memoria histórica” —Diario Las Américas
About the Book:

Mi Venezuela de Ayer is a visually rich and nostalgic journey through the vibrant cultural landscape of Venezuela in the 1980s and 1990s. Anchored in photographic memory and narrative reflection, the book blends coffee‑table aesthetics with historical insight.

Featuring over 80% archival imagery sourced from publications like El Nacional, Complot, and Revista Producto, the book is both an artful homage and an academic tribute. It thoughtfully curates memories of the nation’s pop‑culture milestones—from fashion, music, design, and TV—highlighting how resilience, creativity, and community defined everyday life.

A timeless tribute, the book not only commemorates “la Venezuela de Ayer” but also offers a forward‑looking optimism:

Este libro honra a la Venezuela de ayer, pero siempre pensando en el futuro… lo malo y lo bueno no dura toda la vida, son etapas”.

A heartfelt gift for Venezuelans and Latin American culture lovers worldwide, Mi Venezuela de Ayer invites readers to cultivate gratitude for the past as a steppingstone to a hopeful future.
