We invite Azu Tiwaline and DJ Plead with a very special UK guest (TBA), for a night of deep dance music rooted in dub foundation, percussive rhythms, sound system music, and techno.
Drawing deep inspiration from her Tunisian heritage and the Berber trance music of the Sahara Desert, along with influence from the French rave scene in the late '90s, Azu Tiwaline creates ritualistic dance environments through her Live/DJ hybrid sets and her impressive discography of releases.
We’re also thrilled to welcome back one of Australia’s most talented exports, DJ Plead. A standout headliner for Upstairs//Downstairs in 2023, it felt right to bring him back for this stacked lineup in the Slub Club Basement.
Since his last appearance with us, the Lebanese-Australian has been making waves across the European festival circuit, becoming a regular fixture at some of the most revered events. Renowned for his versatility, he seamlessly blends genres while maintaining an impeccable flow that keeps dance floors captivated.
Beyond his skills as a DJ, Plead has been releasing groundbreaking music, with recent notable collaborations alongside TSVI, Rroxymore, Xzavier Stone, and Philip Jondo. His signature sound—percussive, polyrhythmic, and always inventive—has solidified his place as one of the most exciting artists in the scene.
