MG Swap Sketching Experience

Sketching experience takes place in two Mediterranean cities:

Maru Godas and Marina Grechanik - two international Urban Sketching instructors, sharing common love for capturing urban life in mixed media techniques and similar approaches, offer a series of Urban Sketching workshops! With both Barcelona and Tel Aviv having similar Mediterranean climates, our workshops involve a variety of mixed media techniques we both love, like gouache, markers, and collage, which we will use to capture the essence of each city. We will draw the historic centers and cityscapes, people on the beach, green areas, food, and various traditional events on our open day.

In each city we are proposing the same format: a 3 day workshop with two instructors, two sessions per day, up to15 people per class.

Every participant will spend an entire day with two teachers, obtaining more one-on-one direction and delving into concepts for the improvement of the person's individual aesthetic.

On the fourth day, we'll have an open sketchcrawl that local sketchers and workshop attendees can take part in.

During the sketchcrawl Maru and Marina will lead a zoom workshop for participants from the swap city, that couldn't attend both locations , so they can experience the flavor of the other city.

To celebrate the end of the workshops, there will be a Drink & Draw gathering, with a pop-up exhibition of sketches produced during the workshops.

• Barcelona SWAP gives access to Barcelona SWAP: 6 workshops, + zoom workshop from Tel Aviv's sketchcrawl, opening and closing gatherings, and pop-up exhibition.

• Tel Aviv SWAP gives access to Tel Aviv SWAP: 6 workshops, + zoom workshop from Barcelona's sketchcrawl, opening and closing gatherings, and pop-up exhibition.

Is my registration refundable or transferrable?

Your registration can neither be transferred not is is refundable.

Do I need prior experience drawing this subject?

No, you don't need to be an experienced sketcher, the workshop is designed to work across all skill levels.

Do passes include travel and accommodation arrangements, and meals?

No. Attendees need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the duration of the event. Meals are not included.
