It's taken a wee bit of time to get this over the line, but wow, we got there. If you know your clubbing history you will know exactly jus' how important a DJ Jonathan is. And let's face it, any artist who goes by a single name has to be somebody of note. He's a man who lets the music do the talking and blimey, his DJ sets have helped write mo' than its fair share of history. He has been resident at Birmingham Powerhouse, Notts Palais, the subliminal Rock City in Notts, KGB's legendary nights in Sheffield, Cleethorpes, Blackpool Mecca dayers, To Tha Manor Born in Chester-Le-Street, AND he's played at EVERY Southport weekender except one, and this is just a small sample of his gigs! He once owned the mythical 7" of Frank Wilson's 'Do I Love You' but mo' than that, he owns some of the most import soul, jazz funk, boogie, disco and house records ever to grace our scene and guess what? He's bringing a selection of them to do an all vinyl set for us at MFSB, and to explore all the genres that make up MOBO. Arrive early to grab a spot next to the decks, we're in for a musical masterclass as Jonathan and Yogi tear it up until 10.00pm for an extended play.
