🌱 Join us for a day of connection, inspiration, and action! 🌱🌿Theme of the day: Food as a Gift🌿
For most of us we see food as a commodity that is bought and sold...but what if that wasn't the case? What if we saw food as a gift instead?
We will have a range of guest speakers to talk about how we can build up our own alternative food network here in the Manawatū, with gifting at its heart.
Along with us talking the talk, we will all be walking the walk!
All hui attendees are encouraged to bring along a "gift" that we will use in our small group activities. Be it kai you have grown, baked, preserved or bought; seeds or seedlings; a favorite recipe or recipe book, or a useful kitchen tool or utensil. As long as it has a connection to kai and you are prepared to give it away, it's all good!
As always you will be able to:
🔸Network with like-minded individuals and 🤝organizations
🔸Hear inspiring stories of local food sovereignty initiatives 🌍
🔸Enjoy morning tea and stay after for a free lunch and further networking☕
🔸Explore new opportunities to make a difference 🌱
✨ This is your chance to connect, learn, and be part of the growing movement for sustainable, community-driven food solutions! 🌾
🌟 Everyone is welcome🌟
