About this Event
Please join us for our first joint MetMat careers fair! Considering the number of lectures we all have together over the years, it makes sense that we will end up in similar careers once we graduate, so the MetMat societies have come together to host a joint event hoping to show you some of the companies you may end up working for in the future. We have talks from a few companies, including:
- The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority
- Frazer-Nash Consultancy
- HSBC
- Withers and Rodgers LLP
- Solid Print
And if you've decided that you never want to leave, we also have some talks from current PhD students in the department and the UoB careers network. Talks will begin from 1 pm in GC13, before we head into the foyer for pizza! Stands will be set up in the C-block Foyer for you to talk to the representatives from each company 1 on 1. Make sure to stick around afterwards for the MetMat Christmas Quiz, with complementary mulled wine and mince pies hosted by Stephen Kukureka!
