We invite you to join us at meTamorphosis and support emerging local LGBTQ+ writers! Created by White Whale's events coordinator, Amari, meTamorphosis is a local queer & trans led event series committed to uplifting emerging LGBTQ+ writers by curating inclusive community readings in Pittsburgh, PA. meTamorphosis celebrates queer & trans people's commitment to ongoing transformation and embracing change to become who they know themselves to be.
In celebration of Pride month, meTamorphosis is excited to host local DJ Queen Father for a dance & mingle party to celebrate queer joy, community, and resistance.
About the organizer:
AMARI ONYX is a Black trans poet & multi-form artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. Poetry, art, and community sustain his existence, which inspired the creation of meTamorphosis. His work has appeared in Black Warrior Review and is set to appear in Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora and The Shade Journal. He is a proud trans butch queen vogue femme.
