Join blacksmith Tim “Beard” Hibbs for a metalworking workshop in Arthurdale’s historic forge. This workshop will cover the basics of metalworking as you create a light sconce inspired by a historic Arthurdale Mountaineer Craftsman Cooperative Association light sconce made in the same forge.
Students are required to wear close-toed shoes (boots are strongly encouraged) and long pants (no shorts or leggings). You will be working with fire and hot metal, so proper protection is important. You will be required to fill out a waiver before the class begins. Students encouraged to bring their own hammers. You are responsible for bringing your own lunches for the lunch break.
