Would you like to make something a little different for your mum this Mother’s Day? Come along to this fun, hands-on workshop and learn how to make your very own embossed metal decoration.
This class is suitable for children 8+ and also for adults. Wonderful opportunity for parent and child to do something together or for the children to do it on their own as a surprise gift for mum.
Metal embossing is a fun and easy craft to learn — and it looks amazing when it’s finished! You’ll start by choosing a design and learning how to transfer it onto shiny metal. Then you’ll use simple tools to press and shape the metal so your design really stands out.
You can add colour if you like, or keep your piece bright and silver — it’s up to you. To finish, we’ll fill the back with wax and add a soft felt backing. You’ll go home with a beautiful handmade keepsake — a gift your mum will treasure for years 💖
Information for parents
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8 and above. Accompanying adults are very welcome to stay and take part; if you’d like to do so, please book a place for both yourself and your child.
If you choose not to stay for the session, we ask that you provide a contact phone number where you can be reached during the workshop.
If you are staying on site, the Birds of a Feather café will be open, and you’re also welcome to enjoy a stroll around the beautiful Shambellie grounds while you wait.
