Messy Monday invites service members and their families to enjoy stress-free, hands-on art projects designed for all skill levels.
About this Event

Make some time to have lots of fun and some mess in the wonderful world of art with NO STRESS!

This exciting program happens 2-3 Mondays a month at Rick’s Place, with hands-on instruction and all supplies provided by the amazing team at Kidcreate Studio. Designed for ages 4 to 12 (but open to anyone who can hold a pencil!), each session features a unique project for participants to create, enjoy, and take home.

Pick a time that works for you! Sessions are offered at 1 PM and 5:30 PM, with the same fun curriculum at both times. This program is completely free for service members and their families, but spots fill quickly—registration opens two weeks before each session’s start date.

Things to Know Before You Go:

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy—think paint, glue, and markers!
  • Bring a box, blanket, or tarp to safely transport your masterpiece home.
  • Proof of Military Affiliation (like a Military ID) is required at check-in. Contact the team at Rick’s Place if you have any questions about eligibility.
  • Each participant must register individually, and parents must stay with their children throughout the program.

Pro Tip: Arrive on time to get the full step-by-step instructions and make the most of your Messy Monday experience!

We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

This project is supported by a Project Support Grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville|Cumberland County, the North Carolina Arts Council, and, in part, by contributions from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County, and other community partners.
