Our rivers have been in the headlines recently - they are in a bad way but despite real issues there is progress too. Good work is being done by grassroots groups delivering projects across the catchment, including the River Chew. There is also still plenty of wildlife in our rivers (some of it quite exciting) and the plans will help this. The evening’s talk will bring some of these projects to life focusing on our local area. Peter Coleman-Smith has been fascinated with rivers and their wildlife since early childhood and has stayed involved with them ever since. He is a trustee of Bristol Avon Rivers Trust.
Entry: £3.50 for Avon Wildlife Trust members; £5.00 non-members to include refreshments served from 19:15pm. No advanced booking required, pay on the door by cash or card. All welcome.
