About this Event

Join us for ʻAuana Night at the Merrie Monarch Watch Party — a gathering of community, culture, and collective pride, hosted by Awa Hou! in collaboration with Hawaiian Diaspora.

This is more than a watch party. On Saturday night, we'll be cheering on Hālau ʻO Lilinoe a me Nā Pua Me Kealoha — one of only two continent-based hālau competing at the 62nd Merrie Monarch Festival. Based in Carson, CA, their ʻAuana performance is dedicated to the diaspora experience: a beautiful mele and hula about what it means to love Hawaiʻi from afar.

Come be in the space where our lāhui gathers to celebrate together in real time.

What to expect

  • Live, official Merrie Monarch broadcast of ʻAuana competition (6PM–12AM)
  • Awa kava bar on-site
  • Community, connection, and plenty of aloha

Want to attend all three nights of Merrie Monarch Watch Party?

A 3-Day All-You-Can-Bula Pass is available for $125 — wristbands available at the bar.

This RSVP is free. We just want to know you're coming. 🤙
