The Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York has a long and prestigious history of promoting enterprise, entrepreneurship and commercial ventures. They are an active force in the economic development of the City of York and its surrounds and its members are drawn from a wide range of professions and industries.
This event is a collaboration between the Company of Merchant Adventurers and Enterprise Works at the University of York.
This is a free event which includes coffee, tea and pastries on arrival.
Our speaker is Rachel Goddard, the founder and Managing Director of Intandem Communications, a York-based PR and marketing agency which she established in 2002. With a background in science and agriculture, her career has spanned promoting British grain exports, working with large construction firms, collaborating with the University of York, and partnering closely with business leaders to drive marketing success.
Rachel is also the owner of The Yorkshire Mark, a provenance brand celebrating the region’s exceptional food and drink. She is a passionate advocate for Yorkshire’s produce and businesses.
In recent years, Rachel has expanded her expertise as a certified coach and Firewalking instructor. Focusing on leading her female team, her mission is to foster personal growth and create a supportive, thriving workplace culture.
Rachel was named York Press Business Personality of the Year 2015. She is vice-chair of York Against Cancer, a director of Better Connect, and a former chair of York Professionals.
When not leading her team or championing local causes, Rachel enjoys family time and outdoor adventures with her beloved Labradors.
