Whether you’re a local resident or just passionate about making a positive impact, your time and effort will help transform this important part of South El Monte into a more vibrant, welcoming space for all.
This family-friendly event is a great way to get involved, meet your neighbors, and contribute to a greener future. We’ll provide all necessary tools and snacks—just bring your energy and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty!

About the Merced Ave Greenway Project:
The Merced Ave project aims to demonstrate how street design can combat rising temperatures, increase pedestrian/bicyclist safety, and improve local water quality. A neighborhood-scale project like Merced Avenue is intended to provide a real-world model of watershed-based design that integrates many ongoing efforts in the region to address flood management, water quality and habitat restoration.

Getting There --->
Public Transit: Metro, Foothill Transit
Biking: Clean up will be taking place along the new Merced Ave Greenway. Please bring U-Lock as bike valet will not be provided.
Parking: Street parking is available, please be mindful of any parking restrictions.
Safety Protocols:
All individuals under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
We will be observing strict protocols during the event to ensure safety and comfort for all participants. If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home.
What to Bring:
- Individuals under 18 years old to fill out this waiver
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
- Reusable water bottle
- A positive attitude and energy to help beautify the community!
