MERC will be sponsoring a 30 minute Sandbag Ruck Training (SRT) workout of the day (WOD) with support from GORUCK before the Got Your Six 5k race. Patches will be available for all who participate and complete the workout. We will start at 8 a.m. sharp and be finished by 8:30 a.m.Please confirm your interest in attending so we know how much equipment to bring. Also, please bring a 40#/60# sandbag if you have an extra.
Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge their voluntary participation in a community sandbag workout (the "Activity") organized by the Metro East Ruck Club. They understand that this strenuous physical activity with weighted equipment (sandbags) involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injuries such as strains, sprains, fractures, cardiovascular stress, falls, heat-related illness, and potential injury from other participants or organizers, potentially leading to permanent disability or death. Participants confirm they are in good physical condition and have no medical conditions preventing safe participation. They are advised to consult a physician before starting any new exercise. By participating, they knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks of injury, death, or property damage.
