Mephiskapheles, the band that helped define modern day ska, then defied critics by exploring even greater possibilities with its darkly original ska fusion, forges ahead with amazing shows and new music on the way.
Formed in the East Village of New York City in 1991, Mephiskapheles played its first show on Long Island. From day one, the band began attracting a diverse, dedicated fan base.
Sold-out NYC gigs led to tours with the Buzzcocks and GWAR, and hits on the Hawaiian Islands Chart with three singles from the band's first album, 1994's God Bless Satan, produced by Bill Laswell.
While touring relentlessly, Mephiskapheles followed-up in 1997 with Maximum Perversion, a jazz-influenced work that didn't take long to be hailed as a classic. A deal in 1999 with Koch Records resulted in the band's hard-hitting, exploratory third album, Might-Ay White-Ay. The band released the self-titled EP Mephiskapheles in 2015, featuring the single "Satan Stole My W**d," an instant classic. Never Born Again, an EP released in 2019, brings the band back full circle to its dark and melodic roots.
Fronted by lead singer Grylli aka Invidious aka the Nubian Nightmare, along with the hottest rhythm section in New York, and the Horns of Hell, Mephiskapheles spreads its evil seed with an ongoing reissue program, epic shows, and new music on the way.
The Abruptors - made up of Mike Geraci (lead vocals, guitar), Toni LaMantia (lead vocals, keys, saxophone), Alex Schultz (drums) and Christian Lee (bass) - are a ska band based out of Buffalo, NY that have a lot to say about emotion, fear, relationships, and life's other disasters. Formed in 2015, the band's sound has evolved over the years, into a blend of ska, reggae, and rocksteady that they feel fits their dogged, upbeat vibe. Now they look forward to promoting their latest release, Everything You Know Is Wrong, out now on the beloved indie label, Asian Man Records.
Jokers Republic-They’re called the “Elected Representatives of the Joker’s Republic” (or at least that’s what Austen’s mom calls them), but what that really stands for is this New Jersey band’s commitment to represent Ska Punk with high-energy performances that have earned them a place at the BIG kid’s table.
The music of Joker’s Republic feels familiar to fans of Ska-Punk but also brings new (and sometimes questionable) musical ideas to the genre; striving to finally answer the greatest questions of our time: “Who are we?” “Why are we here?” and “Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?”
The Squanches-Formed in 2024, the Squanches are a pop punk band based in East Stroudsburg ,PA. Members include Rob Sweeny in vocals, Warren Predmore III on bass, Frank Belfiore on drums, Chris Fitzgerald and Conner Fontaine guitar.
Blending influences ranging from bad religion to the bouncing souls and pennywise, they have managed to not get sued by adult swim for copyright infringement (so far anyway)
Their material ranges from talking about consumerism, bad relationships and mental/emotional distress.
They have a 3 song ep (destined for nothing) on Spotify and are currently working on an upcoming first full length.
