MEO & OFR Present: Grow your own edible mushrooms + Seed Starting

Join us! Sunday April 19, 2026, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at Open FArms Retreat. Learn hands on how to inoculate a log with shiitake to grow your own edible mushrooms, and seed starting with soil enriched with mycorrhizal fungi. Participants will get to take a log home with them.

Registration is required and is limited to 20 tickets.

1 ticket and log per family if you plan on bringing your family or kids. This event is free and is for people who are low income and/or BIPOC.

If you know that you cannot attend anymore we ask that you cancel your ticket so that we can give the spot to someone on the waitlist.

Event is family friendly, but there won't be separate programming for children. Please keep in mind that the demo is hands on and plan accordingly.

This event is outdoors and rain or shine- please dress accordingly! Layers, layers, layers- and close toed shoes are strongly encouraged.

We will have light snacks, tea, and water available.
