What is the Mentoring Confidence Framework?

The MCF is a targeted approach providing a mentoring toolkit that focuses on regular contact, the ability to express and sustain quality relationships.

Sister System has been selected by the GLA as a Mentoring Leader, to support you and your Young People by sharing both the MCF alongside Sister Systems’ unique mentoring Power Up Toolkit.

Who are these workshops for?

• Practitioners with a caseload of care effected young people

• Managers who support such Practitioners

• Leaders who seek to develop and embed a co-created mentoring program.

• Volunteers seeking to strengthen their skill set to engage young people.

Sister System are offering this opportunity to organisations that have a passion in developing mentoring for young people.

These workshops have been specifically designed to enhance your organisations mentoring abilities, enable your organisation to meet the needs of young people and empower young people.

How will this capacity support programme be delivered?

Delivery of the CPD programme will be achieved by offering each representative from every participating organisation 5 hands on training sessions following an initial scoping session to identify the objectives of each individual organisation. We will be offering a hybrid delivery model where you can either join us in person in our Hub at 639 High Rd, N17 8AA or join us virtually.

The CPD programme is further enhanced by sessions being co-facilitated by one of our Big Sisters (a paid graduate of a SS program and qualified peer mentor) enabling a lived experience perspective to be intertwined into your toolkit.

Following completion of the workshops, 10 organisations will be offered the opportunity to work alongside a Big Sister to embed your new toolkit into your organisation, evaluate its effectiveness and measure your success.

How can an organisation register?

One space is being offered via Eventbrite on a first come, first serve basis to every organisation’s nominated representative. It is crucial that all workshops can be attended by every organisation’s nominee. The workshop dates are as follows:
